Aurelia Bentov

Aurelia started her gymnastics career in 1985 in her native Romania.  Aurelia, a world renowned gymnast and coach, moved to the United States in 2008. She was a member of the Romanian National Olympic Team from 1993 – 1997.  Some of her awards include:

    •  Selected to be a Romanian National Team member
    • Romanian National Champion on Floor
  • 1995
    •  Junior European Championships = Team Gold
    • European Balance Beam Champion
  • 1996
    •  Participant at European Championships
  • 1997
    • Rewarded with “Romanian Master-of-Sport of Gymnastics” award

After completing her competitive career, Aurelia remained involved with the sport of Gymnastics and with the Romanian National Team.  From 2000 – 2003, she was a coach and choreographer in Romania. From 2006 – 2008 she was part of the Romanian Olympic Committee and responsible for the facility where the national team trained. Aurelia holds a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education and Sports, with a specialization in Gymnastics from the Bogdan-Voda University in 2008.

Richard Maijs

Richard was born and raised in The Netherlands. At the age of 11 he joined the Junior National team of The Netherlands. He represented the Dutch National team at the World Championships in Rotterdam. Richard was University National Champion in 1988.

Richard Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and sports with specialization in Gymnastics and Sports Management in The Hague, 1989. He moved to the USA in 1989, residing in Massachusetts, Texas, New York and Florida. From 2000 – 2008 he owned and managed GTC in Massachusetts.

For 24 years he was gymnastics director of the renown Summer camp, USGTC. From 2008 – 2015 he worked in New york, developing a new team program, managing and educating gymnastics coaches at 5 locations.
